A Day to Slow Down, Reconnect, and Practice
Step away from the pace of everyday life and spend an afternoon learning and practicing mindfulness in a supportive, accessible environment.
This day course is designed for anyone who is curious about mindfulness and wants a solid introduction, as well as those who have practiced before and could use a refresher, a reset, or dedicated time to reconnect with their practice.
Through guided meditation, mindful movement, practical instruction, and periods of reflection, you’ll explore what mindfulness actually is—and how it can become a practical resource for navigating stress, strengthening attention, and relating to everyday life with greater awareness.
No previous meditation or mindfulness experience is required.
What We’ll Explore
The course combines experiential practice with accessible teaching about the foundations of mindfulness. Rather than simply talking about mindfulness, we’ll spend time actually practicing it and exploring how it can be integrated into daily life.
Topics include:
Myths & foundations of mindfulness
Focus & concentration
The five postures of mindfulness
Formal & informal practice
Neuroscience of mindfulness
Mindful eating & movement
Mindful communication
Bringing mindfulness into
everyday life

Curious about mindfulness and want to learn the foundations
Have tried meditation but want more structure and guidance
Have practiced before and could use a refresher or reset
Want dedicated time to slow down and reconnect with yourself
Interested in practical ways to work with stress
Interested in exploring mindfulness as a supportive practice for
healing and wellbeing. No previous meditation or mindfulness experience is required.
This day course is designed for both those who are new to mindfulness and those looking to reconnect with an existing practice.
Rooted in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
The course draws from the principles and practices of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), the evidence-based eight-week program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979.
While this day course is not the full eight-week MBSR program, it is informed by the same emphasis on experiential learning, mindful awareness, and bringing mindfulness into everyday life.
Throughout the day, we’ll explore practical ways of working with attention, thoughts, emotions, stress, and the body with greater awareness and less automatic reactivity.
